The Mission United Summer Program concluded at Woodlands Country Club over the summer!

The objective of Mission United is to provide a program to support United States military veterans and their families as they re-acclimate to civilian life. They focus on employment services, legal assistance, education, financial services, and health and housing support.

Our 8-week program was underwritten by a generous grant from the Harry T. Maugurian, Jr. Foundation. 20 veterans participated in 8 consecutive one hour golf classes coached by Duncan Smith, Dave McNulty, and Robert Ferzoco.

Lee P., local veteran and participant commented, “I would like to thank you for the wonderful sessions that The First Tee of Broward has provided to me, and other veterans. The dedication and knowledge of the instructors was very helpful to a golf neophyte, such as myself. Also, the fellow veterans that I practiced and played with, have created an unintended consequence of friendship, and camaraderie. Again, thank you!”
